Today I am sharing spring décor for your home. Easy and beautiful ideas to get your home ready for Spring. I’ll show you step by step how I gave my home a quick spring refresh. How to make easy floral arrangements for a fresh spring vibe. Plus how I created my spring dining room tablescape to get you inspired to create a beautiful table for Easter, Passover, or any other spring get-together.
Let’s start at the entrance of my home. First, I added a large ceramic vase from my collection and filled it with Redbud branches. Then I put roses in a simple glass vase with a slight lavender tint. You’ll see pops of lavender as we move throughout my home. Lavender is the color that signifies spring for me and always has, so I love to incorporate it into my spring decorating scheme.
I encourage you to pick a color that lifts your mood and signifies the new for you. Then weave that color into your spring décor through simple decorative accessories, throw pillows, throw blankets, and floral arrangements. It’s a simple but impactful way to breathe fresh air into your home for the new season.
Okay, next, we have another sculptural ceramic piece from my collection and, finally, a floral scented reeded diffuser to fill the air with a beautiful scent as soon as you walk in our front door.
Moving into our great room. I made simple tweaks here to create that spring vibe I was so desperately craving after months of gloomy, cold weather.
First, I changed out a few darker-toned small accessories for lighter, brighter spring décor pieces. Light, bright ceramics, woven boxes, fun vintage accessories, and floral-scented candles all create that fresh spring look.
Next, Pillows and throw blankets. I removed all the heavy wool pillows and blankets and added light linen pillows and gauzy cotton blankets. As I mentioned before, this is also an opportunity for me to add another pop of lavender. I did that with a few throw pillows and the addition of lavender leather-covered stools.
Now on to floral arrangements. Let me show you how to easily create a few different kinds of beautiful spring floral arrangements. Colorful floral arrangements are the perfect addition to your spring décor. Floral arranging is something I love to do; it’s actually a very therapeutic creative outlet for me. I’m a product and interior designer, so my career requires me to be at full creative capacity every day. Which I love and am very grateful for.
But sometimes, we all need a creative outlet that is purely for our enjoyment. And growing and arranging flowers is that for me. So, I encourage you to get creative solely for your own enjoyment. It could be floristry, painting, sculpting, music, dance… Whatever. Just flex your creative muscle and enjoy the process. It’s restorative, I promise.
I love to place them throughout my home for the finishing touch. I also often use large flowering branches throughout my rooms to make a sophisticated spring décor statement. Changing out the branches every week or so and simply clip them from our yard and place them in large vases for a sculptural look.
A pro tip for getting this look is to use a smaller glass vase or canister inside the large vase or pot. This keeps you from having to fill a massive vessel up with water, making it super heavy. It also helps to corral your branched a little better since the glass vase usually has a much smaller diameter.
Now let’s move on to spring décor for the kitchen. I made a few small styling changes to welcome spring in that space. I added some woven elements. Changed out our plates and cups. Then popped in a touch of lavender from the spring-colored floral arrangements and flowering branches.
Okay, for the final reveal, I want to touch on my Easter tablescape and the pieces I used to create the look. Almost every piece used is vintage, from the floral vases to the candle stick holders, even the drinkware and chintz china set. I added in a hand-blocked Indian tablecloth, and I love how it ties into the colors of our china and fresh florals. The last little touch I added to the tablescape are these really beautiful stone eggs. They brought the perfect touch of Easter to our table.
