Classic FALL Decor: Get the Designer Look!

Autumn is officially here, and it’s time to embrace the beauty of Fall Décor with warm colors, cozy textures, and inviting décor.

In this blog post, we’re breaking down the dos and don’ts of fall decorating, covering everything from your front porch to your living room and so much more. Follow along for tips and tricks on creating a sophisticated, designer-inspired look this season!

Front Porch Décor

Before stepping inside, let’s discuss setting the fall scene on your front porch. This is where your seasonal style begins! I love adding mums, pumpkins, and cabbage to create a welcoming, colorful display.

This year, I introduced a burnt burgundy hue through my mums, which you’ll see echoed throughout the rest of my home. When decorating your steps, think about layering pumpkins for a cascading effect and intertwining ivy to add a charming touch.

Don’t forget about your wreaths! Choose one that is nearly as wide as your door and hang it at the right height using a 3M hook or suction cup for the perfect placement.

Entryway Inspiration

Moving inside, your entryway is a great place to make a statement with seasonal accents. I introduced my color of the season through dried stems and natural elements like gourds. This is the perfect starting place to give your home a fall decor moment.

I also like to place a lamp in front of a mirror, which helps create a warm glow and bounces light around the space, adding a touch of cozy sophistication.

Pro tip: elevate seasonal elements like gourds by placing them on a marble or wood riser to give them prominence.

Cozy Living Room Touches

The easiest way to make your living room feel cozier for fall is by switching out your pillows, throw blankets, and candles. I’ve introduced rich chocolate tones with velvet pillows and a luxurious blanket. I also switched out our light candles for more moody brown tones. This subtle switch makes such a difference.

For a touch of fall, I lined our mantle with a few white pumpkins, creating a clean and elegant look. It’s all about complementing your existing décor while adding subtle, seasonal interest.

Fall in the Kitchen

Fall décor in the kitchen doesn’t have to be complicated. Introduce copper elements, dried branches, and monochromatic gourds for a sophisticated yet simple look. I styled our floating shelves with pottery and accents of dried gourds to bring that fall feeling into the space. Small changes like these can make a big impact!

Bedroom & Bathroom Updates

Bedrooms and bathrooms are easy to update for fall with just a few simple swaps. Change out your pillows, add a cozy blanket, and incorporate dried branches or seasonal stems.

In the bathroom, opt for darker hand towels and bath towels to introduce deeper colors. These little touches create a warm, inviting space.
