Hello design lovers! I’m thrilled to share my five favorite designer holiday decorating ideas for 2023 with you. Each idea is unique and will help you create a beautiful home for the holidays. I know you’re going to love incorporating these into your holiday decor, so let’s dive right in.
The first-holiday decorating idea that has captured my heart this year is the artistic mantle. I’ve been drawn to the beautiful imagery of incredibly creative mantle displays. While there’s no right or wrong way to decorate a mantle, I love the idea of taking a more creative approach.
Consider creative and unique designs. The use of interesting and unexpected items, asymmetrical draping, and the addition of unique collections like candles or bells. Your mantle is an excellent canvas for creativity. Think about using unexpected materials and creating a composition that’s artful and unique.
The second idea that I’m loving this year is the use of natural, beautifully draped greenery and floral elements. Think mantle swags, stair and door garlands, and wreaths.
Even if you primarily use faux greenery, you can embrace this design concept by incorporating natural elements like clipped branches from your yard or unique items like dried oranges. This adds a touch of nature and freshness to your garlands and wreaths, making them truly special.
Number three on my holiday decorating ideas list is to make it personal. Our homes should reflect our unique style and experiences, especially during the holiday season. Instead of solely following trends, try and embrace your uniqueness and what you and your family love.
Consider personalized gift wrap, incorporating unique nostalgic family heirlooms, or creating a tree full of family ornaments. This season, decorate your home with pieces that hold meaning for you and your family.
The fourth decorating idea I love for the holiday season is adding charm to your home through nostalgic lighting. I’m talking about the use of beautiful candlelight or twinkling Christmas lights. Think beyond traditional uses and consider adding fairy lights to unexpected places like garlands in your kitchen or floral arrangements.
Candlelight, especially in taper candles or small votives, can add a touch of drama and warmth to your space. Incorporate charming light in unexpected ways to create a cozy and festive atmosphere.
The fifth and final holiday decorating idea I have for you today is to use handmade decor in your home. Embrace the beauty of handmade items.
Whether it’s a bowl of clementines embellished with cloves, gingerbread houses decorated with friends and family, or hand-tied garland and handmade floral arrangements. Adding a touch of handcrafted decor brings charm and a personal touch to your holiday home, making it truly special.
I hope these designer holiday decorating ideas for 2023 inspire you to get creative and infuse your home with the joy of the holiday season. If you loved this post, check out the YouTube Video below. Where you’ll see even more inspiration behind the 5-holiday decor ideas.
