Who else loves to sport cowboy boots and sip Ranch Water under the sprawling Texas sky? Me!!!! I recently went to Dallas for a design + work trip and was immediately reminded how much I love a long weekend in the Big D. From drop-dead gorgeous hotels to a foodie scene that I’m completely smitten with, it’s safe to say…Dallas has my heart. So, I’m sharing a few of my absolute favorite things to do, see and eat in Dallas, Texas!
The Adolphus Hotel – To be honest… this is the only place I recommend! Kidding, but seriously it’s the only place we stay in Dallas when visiting. The interiors by SWOON, the Studio are stunning with the perfect mix of eclectically modern design and that cool kid vibe that you get when restoring a heritage building.
There are endless spots to lounge, sip, and eat in the Adolphus. If you need a morning coffee or crave avocado toast, snag a booth at City Hall Bistro for a quick breakfast.
The adorable Commerce shop in the lobby is a favorite place to find cool gift items. Not to mention the Adolphus pool is one of the best summer hangout spots in Dallas.
Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden – There’s honestly so much to do and see in Dallas, but I love visiting the Arboretum several times a year to see the seasonal plantings and walk the gorgeous grounds. It’s the perfect place for a leisurely Sunday stroll.

Breakfast + Brunch
Tea at The Adolphus – If swanky is your style, high tea in the French Room at the Adolphus is a MUST. It’s a total scene and might just be the most Instagramable activity in all of Dallas. The gilded plaster ceiling, delicate crystal chandeliers, and scrumptious finger sandwiches make my heart flutter. This place is super popular in the summer, so be sure to book in advance when planning your trip to Dallas (2 weeks out is recommended).

On the more casual side …
Oddfellows
La La Land Kind Café – Their classic avocado toast with lemon zest is the chef’s kiss! Plus this adorable cafe has a socially conscious mission to employ and mentor foster students…. it just doesn’t get better than that!
Lunch + Dinner
Paradiso – This delicious and picturesque restaurant is located in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas. It’s got an artsy bohemian vibe with a gigantic patio, soaring sun-lit ceilings, and a gorgeous bar. Be sure to order the “same, same but different” cocktail, it’s amazing!
Le Bilboquet – You have to get the mushroom risotto & truffle fries for your apps and the lobster pasta as an entree – they won’t disappoint!
Mesomaya – More on the casual side but so good if you love authentic Mexican food! You have to try their Avocado marg, it’s my personal fave.
Fachini – If you’re in the mood for mouthwatering pasta, you need to add this to your list of eats
Kessaku – A sushi speakeasy in Dallas?! Count us in!

The RealReal on Knox St.

Highland Park Village – Veronica Beard is a MUST and make sure to pop in the new LoveShackFancy storefront, it’s adorable!
Whether it’s a girl’s weekend, a work trip, or just a quick getaway, Dallas is one of my fave cities to visit! Hop on over to the Big D for a few days of swoon-worthy digs, yummy eats, and a Texas-sized list of fun things to do and see.
