Welcome to a transformative journey as we unveil 12 projects designed to reset your spaces and create your dream home. After completing 20 home projects last year, we’re here to guide you through easy monthly projects that will turn your house into your dream home.
1. Organized & Styled Kitchen
Kickstart your dream home projects by styling and organizing your kitchen. We spend so much time in our kitchens, so it’s essential that our cabinets, drawers, and refrigerators are organized in a way that not only functions well but also looks good.
We also need our kitchen styled beautifully and thoughtfully by adding decorative pieces, fresh florals, a candle, and high-quality linens.
2. Primary Bedroom
Focus on creating a retreat in your primary bedroom that you love coming to at the end of the day.
Whether it’s a fresh coat of paint, new furniture, or simple accessories, make your bedroom a space you love returning to at the end of each day.
3. Re-Vamping your Living Room
Our living rooms are such valuable real estate in our homes, as we spend so much of our time in these rooms.
So, focusing on creating a warm and welcoming space for you, your family, and your guests is a top priority project in creating your dream home.
Revamp your living room with a touch of creativity. Consider painting, adding new furniture, or simply rearranging accessories to breathe new life into this valuable space.
4. Laundry Room
Organize and style your laundry area to turn essential daily tasks into a more enjoyable experience.
Consider adding jars, clothing rods, hooks, and baskets for both functionality and coziness.
5. Outdoor Spaces
Whether it’s a porch, garden, or balcony, focus on creating inviting and nurturing outdoor spaces. From adding potted plants to creating small entertaining areas, let your imagination soar.
We did a massive outdoor project last year, adding a large covered porch, outdoor kitchen, fireplace, and fenced English garden. It is my absolute favorite home project we’ve done to date!
6. Bathroom
Invest time in refreshing your bathroom. Whether it’s a structural change to your bathroom or a new tile, cabinetry, or shower.
Or is it more of a re-fresh project where you could make a big impact by adding fresh paint, a new towel hook, and a towel bar, new soaps, fluffy bath towels, and fresh florals.
Whatever the scope, the goal is to create a bathroom that comforts and relaxes you at the beginning and end of every day.
7. Entry
Craft an organized and welcoming entry to set the tone for your home.
Add wall hooks, organization baskets, and fresh flowers to make your entry a warm and inviting space.
8. Catchall Areas
Tackle those cluttered catchall areas in your home.
A weekend project of purging and organizing will not only add functionality but also provide immense satisfaction.
9. Pantry
Getting your pantry area organized and functional is essential in enjoying your daily food prep rituals.
Maximize your pantry’s potential with organization tools like can risers, space-saving canisters, lazy Susans, and baskets.
A well-organized pantry is a game-changer in daily food prep.
10. Dining Area
Prepare your dining area for entertaining by considering new paint, furniture, or a showstopping chandelier.
Or it could be a simple refresh with a new mirror, piece of art, or table decor. Make it an inviting space that reflects your style and enhances your entertaining experience.
11. Guest Room
Style your guest room with layered and cozy bed linens, rugs, bedside chests, and personal touches. I also like to make sure that the space feels extra inviting by including a small chair and side table for reading a book or to sit down with your morning coffee.
It’s really about just taking the extra time to include small gestures to welcome your guests and make them feel special and cared for.
12. Powder Room
This room can make such a big impact with minimal effort. And it’s the room that everyone will see sooner or later.
If you’re taking on a powder room overhaul, I suggest including a statement-making sink, unique lighting, and dramatic wall treatment to create a one-of-a-kind jewel box of a space.
If it’s more of a refresh, a new mirror, hand towels, beautiful soaps, and a decadent candle can do just the trick. The point is to create an intriguing and well-appointed room for you and your guests.
