Hello design lovers! I’m thrilled to share some of my favorite 2023 fall decorating ideas with you and I know you are going to love them too.

We’ll explore three fantastic projects: a gorgeous fall wreath made from dried naturals, a sophisticated fall tablescape, and a charming dried orange and cinnamon stick garland. Let’s dive in!

Fall Wreath

For our first DIY project, we’ll be creating a beautiful fall wreath using dried naturals.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Grapevine wreath base
  • Dried leaves and natural fall stems
  • Grapevine garland
  • Burgundy dried leaves for color
  • Sable-colored plumes and dried flowers
  • Ribbon for hanging

Instructions:

  1. Start with a grapevine wreath base and add a grapevine garland for a whimsical touch.
  2. Work in dried leaves and naturals in an asymmetrical pattern, securing them into to the wreath base.
  3. Finish with sable-colored plumes and dried flowers for a whimsical and natural look.
  4. Add a beautiful ribbon for hanging.

The result is a stunning wreath that can adorn your door throughout the fall season.

Fall Tablescape

Moving on to our second project for our 2023 Fall Decorating Ideas, let’s create a sophisticated fall tablescape that transitions seamlessly from early fall to Thanksgiving.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Flax-colored linen table runner
  • Dried floral arrangement in deep brown and burgundy
  • Alabaster candlesticks for artful elegance
  • Vintage ceramic bowls and votive candles for ambiance
  • Black speckled glazed plates and vintage bronze flatware
  • Elegant glassware and pocket napkins for a chic touch

Instructions:

  1. Start with a flax-colored linen table runner as the base.
  2. Create a focal point with a dried floral arrangement in deep brown and burgundy.
  3. Add elegance with alabaster candlesticks and ambiance with votive candles.
  4. Complete the tablescape with vintage ceramics, black-speckled glazed plates, and elegant glassware.

The result is a sophisticated and seasonless tablescape that will impress your guests.

Fall Garland

Let’s make a delightful dried orange and cinnamon stick garland for our final DIY project.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Oranges or nectarines
  • Olive pick for making holes
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Satin ribbon with eyelash detail

Instructions:

  1. Slice oranges into quarter-inch slices and pat them dry.
  2. Bake the slices at 200 degrees for four hours, flipping them every hour.
  3. Use an olive pick to make holes in the dried orange slices.
  4. Cut cinnamon sticks to desired lengths.
  5. Thread the oranges and cinnamon sticks onto a satin ribbon, alternating them.

The result is a charming garland that can adorn your home from early fall to Thanksgiving.
